  • February 1933

    Founded as a special welding rod manufacturing company in Showadori, Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture.

    Started manufacturing and selling special arc welding rods and gas welding rods.

  • January 1950

    Changed company name and established as Special Electrode Co., Ltd.

  • April 1950

    Kyushu branch office (currently Kyushu sales office) established in Yawata City, Fukuoka Prefecture ( moved to Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture in March 1999)

  • January 1951

    Tokyo branch office (currently Tokyo sales office) established in Ota-ku, Tokyo.

  • January 1952

    Hokkaido branch office (currently Hokkaido sales office) established in Muroran City, Hokkaido.
    Hokuriku Branch Office (currently Hokuriku Sales Office) established in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture.

  • January 1953

    The head office factory was relocated to Namba Honmachi, Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture (currently Higashi Namba Town), and the name was changed to Amagasaki Factory.

  • February 1955

    Started welding work in addition to manufacturing and selling welding rods.

  • June 1956

    Established Nagoya Branch Office (currently Nagoya Sales Office) in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture.

  • January 1957

    Hiroshima branch office (currently Hiroshima sales office) established in Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

  • March 1960

    Established a research laboratory (currently the Research and Development Department) within the Amagasaki factory.

  • July 1961

    Established Numazu branch office (currently Shizuoka office) in Numazu city, Shizuoka prefecture.

  • November 1961

    Himeji Branch (currently Himeji Sales Office) established in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture.

  • September 1965

    Yokohama Sales Office (currently Keihin Sales Office) was Established in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture (moved to Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture in May 1997).

  • April 1966

    Fukuyama Branch Office (currently Fukuyama Sales Office) established in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
    Himeji factory established in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture.

  • January 1969

    Kurashiki branch office (currently Okayama office) established in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture.

  • April 1969

    The welding rod manufacturing division was separated and Tokuden Welding Rod Co., Ltd. was established in Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture (our company's investment ratio was 27.4%), and it was dissolved in April 1990.
    Chiba branch office (currently Chiba Sales Office) established in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, and Utsunomiya Branch Office (currently Utsunomiya Sales Office) established in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture.

    Established Nagoya Factory (currently Tokai Sales Office) in Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture.

  • June 1970

    Kimitsu Branch (currently Kimitsu Sales Office) established in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture (moved to Kimitsu City, Chiba Prefecture in February 1999)

  • April 1971

    Separated the construction department in the Kanto area and established Tokyo Tokuden Construction Co., Ltd. in Ota-ku, Tokyo (our investment ratio: 31.75%).
    Disbanded in October 1980

  • January 1972

    The Kyushu factory was established in Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and the Hokkaido Factory (currently Itanki Factory) was established in Muroran City, Hokkaido.

  • April 1976

    Kashima Branch Office (currently Kashima Sales Office) was established in Sawara City, Chiba Prefecture (moved to Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture in April 1993, and moved to Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture in May 2011).

  • August 1976

    Fukuoka Pheasant Country Club (Kawasaki Town, Tagawa District, Fukuoka Prefecture) opens( Business transferred in August 1979)

  • November 1977

    Filed a petition to start corporate reorganization proceedings

  • April 1978

    Decision to start company reorganization proceedings

  • July 1980

    Established Hikino factory in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

  • January 1981

    Started manufacturing and selling flux-cored wire.

  • May 1981

    Started manufacturing and selling PTA welding equipment

  • April 1982

    Established Nagasaki branch office (currently Nishi Kyushu office) in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture.

  • September 1983

    Kimitsu factory established in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture ( moved to Kimitsu City, Chiba Prefecture in February 1999)

  • December 1986

    Started manufacturing and selling top plates.

  • August 1987

    Started accepting orders for on-site machining work

  • November 1987

    Himeji Top Plate Factory established in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture.

  • November 1994

    Nagoya factory in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture ( moved to Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture in June 2009), closed in May 2012

  • March 1995

    Decision to conclude corporate reorganization proceedings

  • December 1996

    Established Shin Muroran Factory (currently Muroran Factory) in Muroran City, Hokkaido.

  • January 2001

    Obtained permission to display JIS Z 3323 (arc welding flux-cored wire for stainless steel) certification according to Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry certification No. 50022.

  • April 2001

    Business Planning Department (currently Environmental Technology Office) established in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture

  • March 2003

    Started manufacturing and selling environment-related equipment.

  • August 2004

    ISO 9001 certified and registered with the Japan Standards Association (currently the Japan Standards Association) (registration number JSAQ 2006)

  • June 2006

    Stock listed on JASDAQ Stock Exchange (currently Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market)

  • January 2007

    Established Hakusan factory in Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture, closed in April 2021

  • March 2007

    Established Tohoku Branch Office (currently Tohoku Sales Office) in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture.

  • July 2008

    Obtained new JIS mark display certification (certification number JQ0508050) from Japan Quality Assurance Organization (currently Japan Quality Assurance Organization)

  • April 2010

    Listed on Osaka Securities Exchange JASDAQ (currently Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market) due to the merger of JASDAQ Securities Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange

  • February 2011

    Chinese subsidiary (Tianjin Tokuden Metal Products Co., Ltd.) obtained corporate business license and liquidation was completed in January 2016

  • July 2013

    Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange JASDAQ Standard due to the merger of the Osaka Stock Exchange and the Tokyo Stock Exchange

  • December 2013

    Established a consolidated subsidiary (TOKUDEN TOPAL CO., LTD.) in Bangkok, Thailand.

  • May 2017

    Established a consolidated subsidiary (Tokuden Saning (Nantong) Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, China.

  • April 2019

    Established Hitachi Sales Office in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

  • April 2020

    Established Shikoku representative office in Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture.

  • April 2022

    Due to a review of the Tokyo Stock Exchange's market classification, the Tokyo Stock Exchange will transition from JASDAQ Standard to Standard Market.

  • January 2024

    Head office and Amagasaki factory moved to Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture, renamed to Head Office/Head Office Factory.
